no plants yet. i still need to cycle the water and do another water change cause i wanna plant the plants when there isnt any water.

I am not trying to be nasty/ rude to you , ~

But its the Filter you cycle not the water in your tank .

If you want to , you can put plants in the tank while it is still in the cycling process you dont need to wait until after the cycling process has finished . :D

if you can and if you would like to speed up the cycling get some already seeded media from an established filter .

^^ thanks.

i was wondering about what kinda of carpet i can put for low light? cause my lighting is 2x55w so its 110 lighting...

Java Moss , Riccia Fluitans , dwarf hair grass , Echinodorus tenellus .

There is alot more you can choose from but thats what i can think of for now . Hope these ones help you .

out of that i think dwarf hair grass will be it. it looks nice and it seems that its easy to maintain. now i have to look for some and my java moss, ferns, and etc.

heres an update! i cant find any java moss by itself so i bought java moss on wood. i took the java moss off the wood and put it on mine. i also picked up some ferns and anubia's. enjoy!

i thought it takes months of soaking before u get rid of the tannins.
or u can boil the wood for 2-3 hours.

nice set up btw.

yeah it does. but i didnt want to wait. so im going to do weekly water changes. tannins are still coming out of my wood and my water is turning yellowish. but its ok
