I've been trying for years to get the family to try a turducken........so far, no go

Lol,frying a gobbler and turducken is on my list.

I agree, the white meat is dry most of the time.

Then it wasn't done right. My wife has 2 aunts that rotates the hosting Thanksgiving dinner, and they are outstanding cooks. I'm a dark meat fan, but I'llmbreast meat from their turkey as left over with no problem.

I don't remember what my aunt calls it but it's like mashed sweet potatoes whipped and buttery....I could eat the whole pot.

With the melted marshmallows on top?

I've heard that before....Anyone ever fry their turkey?
Yep, we put a nice honey glaze on it and fried one a few years ago. But I prefer them out of a smoker.

Deep fried turkey is great, very moist white meat. The best part is it only takes three minutes per pound to cook. I've had turducken twice, something everyone should try at least once. It's been a few years maybe I'll get one next year, Cajun grocer is a good place to get one from.

The white meat is dry cause it is lean, hardly any fat. The dark meat taste better but has more fat. My favorite dish is probably baked kabocha squash cubed with chunks of garlic and various spices.

Yeah I know white meat has less fat than the dark meat.I intend to equalize that when I deep fry my turkey next year lol.
