So who still uses New Life Spectrum?

I like NLS, but only use it for my small fish, because I can only get the little granular stuff around here. I love it though! I use it in conjunction with aquadine, shrimp pellets, fresh shrimp/fish, and the occasional frozen meal.
 
I still use NLS as the wheat flour and gluten crap is at least third on the ingredient list. With many Hikari products you see fish meal followed immediately by wheat flour, wheat germ meal, brewers dried yeast, soybean meal. I just don't like that cuz I don't feel like the fish gets anything out of it at all, except feeling full and pooping a lot. My favorite Hikari products are the carnivore foods that have fish meal and shrimp and/or krill meal as the first two ingredients. Omega is tops in my book and you see more folks using it now. There are a few newer brands like those offered by Xtreme aquatics that look good. Some newer ones are becoming available, including low carb foods. It seems that NLS has at least lost some ground to some other brands now. NLS is still a good offering IMO.

I'm a fish food nut and I check ingredients and bug companies all the time for info. I'm not sure it's a good use of my time but my fish don't seem to mind.

I've used and continue to use three Dainichi foods. I think it is okay but I'm not buying more as I think there are better foods out there. The fish in my avatar eats the three Dainichi foods plut NLS almost exclusively, mainly because he is the only one that will eat Dainichi.

I see it in ever food post that I go to... Including this one :D I use it! i love it!
 
I use NLS & Hikari Gold/Bio-Gold to feed my cichlids.
 
I use NLS Thera and all my fish do very well with it. I've also branched out and have started buying some of the other floating and sinking pellets. I think its some of the best food on the market in my opinion.
 
I'm convinced NLS is well worth the extra money.....totally convinced. I have yet to find a species not breed with NLS as the primary diet, and all the "normal stuff" (growth rate, color) is better too. I supplement NLS with one specific Omega food, their truly vegetable based rounds, and a variety of invertebrate foods, but NLS makes up the vast majority of the diet of my fish.
 
I feed my Male dovii NLS all the time and he loves it and I love the quality they have showned me when using it I see a difference in coloration and the amount of waste from using it at feeding time
