Softshell Turtle ID please..

Asians are more expensive and larger. No pet is 'better' than the other. Spinies are more well known, easier to get CB, very small, and generally easier. I couldnt tell you much of the personality though. Ask the softshell forum on kingsnake if you like.
Dude certain spiny subspecies look EXACTLY LIKE THAT IN COLOR AND PATTERN. Spare yourself the headache.

hey what's CB?

LMAO I'm not Japanese, but a lot of my friends are and I'm into some anime and all that. I'm taking Japanese 2 in school as well. Half my friends are Asian girls and I'm Italian hahahaha
CB means captive-bred. WC means wild-caught. FC or CH means farm-hatched and captive hatched from wild parents. CB is always best, don't settle for anything less.
I think you could find all of them with a little work, but none is 'better' than the other, just bigger or smaller. Get one you think is pretty, and get a boy or girl depending on the size you want. You can find ones that look like the Asian one, but not as fat.

Some softshells can get pretty chunky. I found some pictures of Asian specimens on google and they were swimming with their heads poking out. I thought they were otters. Really really ugly
