Nice mine is exact opposite.
Thanks going to get reptomin . Mine also eats snails,mosquito fish and ghost shrimp . He is outside .
He mostly hides under the driftwood and very small. He looks great but tiny for a baby map several months old and the most nervous turtle ever.
I put them in water trough couple days ago and such a nervous turtle that he wont venture away from the driftwood pile .

Reptomin is good for getting them grouped together and used to seeing you, that's for sure.

The Cons are some seem way more nervous . The Cooter is very outgoing always visible the Map very nervous while inside the house in a tank .I imagine much more relaxed .
I am picking up the reptomin right after work.
This is them before I added water to the trough.
Both born same week in a friends backyard and the Cooter is twice size of map. Though the pic isn't the best for gauging size..
Wow, those are little guys. I think you need more water. Maps do like to swim and may feel more comfortable knowing they can escape to the depths if they feel threatened. Just my .02
I just took their pics when I first placed them in it lol. Yes they are munchkins. A friend has a huge pond in his yard and had lots babies . He had the tiny map and cooter he was going to "put down" because he wasnt going to trade them at turtle farm or sell them.
So I took them and few other normal size babies which I gave away/sent to friends in NY,etc and kept these runts but they are doing great and the cooter though small is now close to twice the size of the map.
Once you add water the Map SPEEDS off under the wood thus took pic w/o water.
That was their first day in it as I had to drill holes 3/4 up for filter hoses so when it pours the water level stays about 8 inches high max . The Water level is 8 inches high now.

I also added lots more floating plants. Picked up the Reptomin today.
