really?

they look the same. i usually get them around 10". sold as Water Dogs.

either way. they make great bait. and they BITE! lol.

cool lookin set up though.
 
Very cool. I've wanted to get an Axolotl for awhile but haven't taken any steps yet. What is a general price range?

Mudpuppies are NA species and get to around 2 ft (dont quote me), these guys are from mexico and are much smaller (measured in inches). I believe in the wild axolotls are critically endangered? There are a few fully aquatic salamanders and looking it up, there are 3 species with the common name waterdog, Necturus alabamensis, Necturus beyeri and Necturus lewisi so it could be any of those you are using for bait also.
 
Very cool pets. I kept some for a while then sold them to a couple that raises them and other similar creatures. Nice pictures.
