With all due respect,i have found 4-lines to be very fast growers, big appetite and always moving,i had 1 that reached at least 10" in about 7 monthes, they also can take care of themselves quite well.I am no expert but this is just my own experience.
 10" in 7 mths???? are you sure it was a 4 line?

yeah seriously. While this growth is amazing, i cant think of another pim that would fit the 4-line physique and be bigger. P. albicans? thats a 19"-er but never even seen one in real life.

Yes 4-lines are 1 of the fastest growing Pims ,huge appetite and can get aggressive when bigger(especially at feeding time).Marbled Pims are by far the fastest growers.

yea, ive been growing him in my tank i was breeding feeder guppies in. I had 7 guppies on day 1 and yesterday i had 4. My 4 line is eating, but it wont touch the pellets i put in.

so it can be on a guppy diet?

i guess so. The guy at the lfs told my girlfriend that it would eat pellets, but its cleaned out all my guppies. Hopefully i can get it on pellets in the next few days.

cats are so easy to get eating pellets I had 4 lima shovelnose and a RTCxTSN with a jardini all eating pellets within a 3 day period. Trick is to let them go a day with no food at all, then introduce a small amount and leave it alone for another day. Cats arent picky try switching Discus to pellets.

well i think the reason it didnt take them before is that i was putting pellets in but he was still eating my guppies, but now that the guppies are gone itll be easier.
