Something BIG!

The only problem I had with Mbu's is when the see something in shape or color that resembles a clam. Take for instance the pectoral fins on my gar....he just kept shearing them off. No other harm done though to anything.

That sounds like fun lol

Will get more pics tonight, but I put her in the 220 this weekend! She is doing great, pretty much hangs out in one corner, and doesn't bother anybody else in the tank. I've seen a ropefish crawl on her face and she looked a little confused but didn't nip. She's happily destroying big frozen shrimp, however.

My cousin shot this video of me putting the Mbu (named Diane Von Furstenberg for its garish leopard print coloration) into the tank. I acclimated her pretty much from noon to around 7ish that day (definitely over 5 hours of drip) and trapped her in a big plastic basket to move her into the tank.

At some point her right pectoral fin split almost down the middle, not sure if it was something physical during moving or if it was from cramped/less clean conditions in the quarantine tub, but I imagine that will heal in time.

Put her in the tank the day I went out to celebrate my birthday. Sorry the vid isn't super clear, gonna get cleaner pictures tonight.

Thanks for the video, she looks great. I'm moving to texas next year and have been sad about not being able to have rays but now I've started thinking of doing an MBU or fahaka. It would bee nice to be able to have a planted tank again.

I absolutely love these fish. The Mbu is new enough so I can't speak on its personality that well, but my Fahaka is my favorite fish.
