I dont care weather its a dog cat of a hamster given a todler in the mix they get bit or scratched if not taken care of right. As far as the cage not sucure to this day my sister has a scare from a rabit that got out of its cage and when she grabbed the bunny at 1.5 years old and would not let it go she ended up with 4 stitches from a rabit we had had for 5 years. Maybe rabits should be not be leagal to keap as pets. I take flack everday for my redtail maybe im a bad person....

huffingtonpost. LOL. I have a hard time accepting stories as reported by that outfit.

the owner of the snake is an idiot....not keeping his animal in an secure enclosure? thanks buddy. You're making all the people in the hobby look bad. He's most likely some irresponsible 23 y/o punk and his actions reflect poorly for the rest of us responsible snake owners.

Eh who cares, honest mistake. This stuff happens all the time. At least it wasn't a retic or an actual truly dangerous snake. Better than the post I read a few weeks Ago where a guys piranha ate the kids finger off.

Hello; Not sure if the first report was from Huffington post, may have been a different agency. Also not sure how it makes a difference where it is reported, only if the story is accurate. The first story had pictures of the baby's foot showing bite marks.

Hello; Honest mistake? Intresting point of view. The first report stated that the apt's were supposed to be pet-free. How is this in any way an "honest" mistake. A couple with a small child pick a pet free building and someone in another apt. decides to have a python against the rules and allows it to get free.

Hello; True it did not kill the infant which is good. The other part of the story was about a child actually killed by a families pet snake.
I for one do care.
I don't think ball pythons get anywhere near large enough to be able to swallow a child, but wonder if it would be able to be deadly had it constricted the babies neck?
