I asked before what your water was like when you tested it have you done so?

Depending what the red spot is I would be keeping it divided in the 300 and doing good water changes on the 300 and adding salt to the tank. Not directly pouring it in but dissolving the salt in water then adding it to the tank. What filtration do you have on the 300?

No I have checked it yet. I run a wet dry sump (DIY). Actually working on adding a drip system to it.

Went and bought some egg crate diffuser to make a seperator.

Changed water yesterday and today. Will add more salt as well. I always put the salt into my overflows so it can slowly dissolve from there. Water is at around 80 degrees.

And thanks to all for the thoughts. This is a great forum for people like me to learn from.
