Oh man, this thread makes my head hurt... Congrats and the pickup and thanks Modest man for knowing all that stuff lol. I always kinda wondered what would happen if GJD and EBJD bred.
 
When I bred them (normal JD's) I'd just do a water change and feed meaty foods for a couple days. Fry like clockwork. I'd go male EBJD and female gold, personally.
 
Thanks for the tips. I am going to have to go the other way since my gold is a male, but I think I can still get it to work. Shopping for a larger female ebjd right now.
