I was just about done filling a new 285 gal (52" x 36" x 36"). 3" from the top, the side exploded out. The force was strong enough to move the 240lb steel plate next to it.

Please, someone tell me again how this is a relaxing hobby.

OMG!!!!!!!!!1

Was there a flaw there before? I've never seen that happen!
That sucks man. Will the OEM replace it?

Damn man. Thank goodness you weren't standing there. Your knee would have bent the wrong direction...kinda like a Flamingo...but not so pink.

Is that 1/2 inch Acrylic? Kinda looks even thinner.

It's 1/2" acrylic and I was standing right where half the water decided to go. Glad I was filling with warm water. But, it still got a little nipply running back to the house. I kept fronts in it at my last house. It must have sustained some damage during the move.

That's a lil much for the acrylic repair kit to handle, hahaha.....Glad you weren't hurt.

that sucks. its only relaxing when its full and you have some nice healthy fish in it. Ah... the calm before the storm.

yikes! hope there wasnt any water damage done!

wow that sucks glad your ok but think on the more possitive side you get to by a new tank

Relax :D At least it was on your tile :)... Not your Carpet .. Or it probably reached rooms with carp3et huh :( ...

My wife asked how it was relaxing too :) Right after i tried cuttin my thumb off LOL...
