These guys are the 'vieja criolla' variant. I have no other tangible information about them but I've seen enough of them to know that they are a helluva nice strain.
One thing about cubans that vexes me is when Cuban males turn black. When I got this male he was 80% white. As soon as he and the female started spawning he turned black. Only now is he starting to lighten up a tiny bit.
I'm starting to think that its my water because for as long as I've been keeping cubans, not one of my males has retained that mosaic pattern and high white coloration.
