I reallt don't understand your confusion...You were EATING while driving, so the safe speed that you can drive while eating is 0 ZERO. There is NO safe speed for eating, or texting. People die everyday because people are EATING, Texting, Talking on the phone, GENERALLY not PAYING attention to WHAT they are DOING. If you are doing anything other than PAYING attention to the road it is unsafe. I just hope you don't kill someone while eating your cookies.

Too bad! There's no law to prohibit eating while driving yet! If goes by your saying, listening to radio, checking out hotties on the street, talking to your passenger, sight seeing, etc... while driving would fall under that same category...

It will fall under the same catagory...UNSAFE SPEED

There's no such thing is "safe" speed... When you speed, it's always "unsafe"

You forgot something. Talking to your friends in the car, talking on the phone WITH A HEADSET, or even drinking, smoking, listening to music etc..... are all NOT PAYING ATTENTION and unsafe like you said too!! That means we should keep our mouths SHUT and ABSOLUTELY DO NOTHING while driving then.
I hope you were never did anything on that list while driving to be able to say those strong words out loud.

If you fight the ticket and he shows up, YOU WILL LOSE.

If you decide to fight the ticket, that officer will get a noted to remind him of show up. You will lose.

I know this from exp. Yeah that bastard showed up and told me how he was notified to show when I decided to fight a ticket once. Just pay it and move along.

Exactly. Maybe we should all just sit in our houses and not go anywhere for fear of killing ourselves and other people. I heard of some lawmakers wanting to outlaw walking and texting as there are too many insurance claims for walking into stuff while on phones...hehe. Actually it's funny at first but kind of feels like it's infringing on the few rights I have.

if it was raining and you were doing the speed limit they could give you a ticket. there's a clause where the cops can give you a ticket depending on road conditions and the driver. it sucks and usually stands up in court. but to hear you were only eating cookies and thats how you got it sounds practically illogical. he probably seen you reaching down for the cookies or showed some irrational behavior at the wheel.

Actually, AFAIK, there is a law against eatting while driving. (under the umbrella of distracting the driver)
As well as driving "too fast" when weather does not permit it.
