spiney red devil pleco

I was asked If I had heard of any plecos called devil plecos, I hadn't so I looked them up. This is what I found, a Pseudocanthicus sp. L025 that gets to 18" the pic is from www.planetcatfish.
Does anybody know anything about them? Has anybody seen any other "devil" plecos?

Wow ive never seen those before. Very unique pleco

also known as the scarlet pleco. The L114 "cactus pleco" looks similar, but only gets around 10" and the eye is dark unlike the L025. Both like to dig, and are timid at first. They'll eat just about anything on the bottom.

those scarlet plecos are really something huh? thier quite expensive and banned here in the philippines..

The one site I saw one for sale it was $350 US for a 10-12" one. The site was Canadian.

I just check Shark Aquariums Site an they have the L025 Scarlet Pleco for like 150.00 for a 10" one.

Here is my Scarlet pleco, he is about 12" and he eats anything that goes to the bottom. I paid $150.00 for him at 10" about a 1 1/2 years ago.
