well there are two that have similar common names, which are L024 and L025, both Pseudacanthicus sp. and are reasonably similar. heres info on both. the pic guppy posted was L025.
L024- Pseudacanthicus serratus
Also known as the Flame pleco or Red Fin Cactus Pleco
Size: 12
Care: 24-26 degrees
pH 6.4-7
Carnivore although not a predator, prawns and chopped mussel appear favourites and promote favourable growth. Some vegetable should also be provided too to balances diet.
Other: Similar to L025 but ultimately smaller with a less contrasting overall colouration making it more drab in appearance. Not as shy as some members of the genus although a shady retreat should be provided. Generally peaceful but territorial from a young age. Some large specimens are aggressively territorial and may cause problems if housed with other large nocturnal fish.
L025-Pseudacanthicus sp. "scarlet"
Also known as a scarlet pleco.
Size: 16-18
Care: 24-26 degrees
6.4-7
Water quality is important for this fish, clear, well-oxygenated especially because of the warmer water this fish prefers. A potentially large pleco that will need robust decoration in the tank. Fairly reclusive and will need cover to hide in. Care must be taken that no other inhabitants of the aquarium attempt to dispute ownership of this cover. This fish will fight for the territory and, with its array of spines and hooks, can cause serious damage. Prawns and chopped mussel appear favourites and promote favourable growth. Some vegetable should also be provided too to balances diet.
Other: aggressively territorial and may cause problems if housed with similar sized nocturnal fish.
