yeah, net removal looks like it would be very painstaking...an dangerous. look awsome though, don't think many fish would dare pick on one of those. are the spines hard, or do they just look that way?
those spikes are real..if u dun handle properly, your hands may get torn..
i usually dun use nets with my fellas in order to minimize damage and stress..your net may end up torn anyway
i use bare hands or gloves for megalancistrus species..which are more spikey than the pseudacanthicus..L25 is great fish..get one if u can!
Those guys are awesome, the petstore I worked at had a 6" one for $70... I almost picked it up, but alas $70 is a little much for something I dont really need
I have a red fin cactus pleco- the gold variety. So far, only about 4 inches. I originally bought three, but two died quickly- parasites, I'm pretty sure. Treated the last onek, feed it good, seems okay so far. They are VERY carnivorous, and territorial to other plecos.
