Spirulina

What do you guys think about buying pure spirulina powder ? But then how much do i use per feeding would be the next question

You would need a binding agent like a gelatin to hold it together and you would likely want to add more than just the spirulina powder to make a nourishing food.

I use xtreme monster cat scrapers . All my fish love it including my dovi ..... yes I have a strange dovi.

Yep gelatin would be it. This is just part of their now diet of mainly nls. I want to swap it with the zoo med flakes. Too messy

That fat content seams high for some reason and the fiber low...strange for an algea

I noticed that too after i posted.

This would probably be fed 2 times a week.
Think that high of a fat content would be an issue if fed only a few times ?

interesting product... not the pellet OP was asking about but still interesting

Noticed oil used as an ingredient. Likely high fat due to a larger amount of oil used to make it a 'soft' product which makes it more palatable to the fish. Just a guess.

Hey jaws, I just ordered some of the algaemax mini wafers to try on my fish. We had talked about these before and was just waiting till I used up some food before ordering. You seemed impressed with it, why the change looking for another type of spirulina pellet? Cost?

No im still using algaemax amd am very happy with it. Im wanting a spirulina based pellets to swap with the zoo med flakes
