Checked the fertility of the unfading service station. I picked up a proven female Cichlasoma melanura for mating. As a result, the male fertilized the eggs. Should we expect interesting hybrids from this cross or immediately get rid of the larvae?

I would expect pretty much the same result, may be better body shape, RT are 25% vieja, 25% midas, 50% texas (Fading comes from midas side). Your fish would be majorly a vieja.

I would say let the fry grow up and then decide, at least pick few pearly ones and cull.

Nice pair. Will throw out nice babies.
Thank. Your opinion was important to me. I read your posts about the carpinte x gus red spot x red texas project and saw the latest male video. I will add a little information about my male SRT. It belongs to the red Texas F generation (3rd on the poster). As the seller explained to me, the fader gene in this morph manifests itself through a generation. How this feature of the male will affect the color of the hybrids is very interesting.

I agree with you that the offspring will be more related to the hybrid vieja than to RT. I have already seen an almost similar cross https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/vieja-texas-fry.737843/

Looking good.
Wonder why the seller of the rt said the fading skips a generation as it is a dominant trait? With the fertility and non fading it is likely a regular or line bred pure carpintis.
I have tried to make super red vieja with a bifaciatus x srm but the 13" vieja is not interested in any females.
