bump for this 
ok so i think im going with my filter plan
"well i am,i bought and cut the wood"
went and got 10 more timbers.
only wood left to get it the top plate
10 timbers were for the filter and my bench idea.
filter is just sitting there and the bench isnt cut or bolted.
water will overflow into the filter in the center.
filter is 4'x2'
bench will be about 4' long
go big or go home on the filter...lol

filtering looks close to the magic 1/3 ratio almost !! can never have too much of that
I really like that bench alot, very novel!! Although it has got nothing to do with the functioning of the pond...in the end i'm sure it would be one of the top 3 reason's why this pond ROCKS !!
