  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It will be one awesome looking setup when finished....
I can see it already! Keep up the good work!

any updates?

I have been doing all of the tedious work. I very much hate any type of drywall, but I have the window all framed in.

I have to move some plugs that were behind the fishtank for code reasons.

I had to rebuild the frames for the tank windows because the glass company did a really good job and not doing it right. 3l4 inch glass and 1 inch angle iron. the holes that were drilled hit the glass. I think they forgot to do their physics homework.

I can make it work but I had to do a few things different.

I have one of the inside walls insulated with r22 and the 3/4 plywood attached.

I can take a few pics tonight, but visually nothing has changed much other than the window above the tank.

Right now I have one ray. I am going to get one more female and a male. The foot print on the inside is 35 square feet.

Here are the pics that I promised. It is really messy because it is a work site and I don't have to live in the basement at the moment.

I know some people are going to ask why the drywall is green, so here is the answer; it is nicknamed wonder board and is mold resistant.

The back wall is showing the insulation, which is R22. I figured I have already spent enough so it might as well get done right. I had to pull the inside plywood off because when a friend was over helping me I forgot to put a bunch of screws in that attach the wall to the floor. So I will have to pull the insulation out tomorrow.

I still have to do a little framing under the bigger window.

most of the work right now is not very visually productive. I ordered my bulk heads today. I went with a 3" for the gravity feed to the wet dry filter. and 2" bulkheads for the return and overflow. The over flow will attatch to the bathroom sink drain.

That is all for now, but I will have another update after the weekend.
