Very true. Can’t forget this.
Im actually quite disturbed about how people gets hung up on gallons or liters. Id rather have lets say 800L with 120x100x70cm then 1120L with 200x80x70 as dimensions

For those dimensions I will need it custom built. How much should I spend on it? I’m in CanadaIts not all about the gallons. Its mostly about the footprint IMHO. Lets say for an exaple 100x100x54cm is better then 150x60x60cm but still the same amount of water.
I’m considering a Black Arrawana, Vampire tetra, clown knife and maybe a couple oscars. What other fish should I keep on the radar?Im actually quite disturbed about how people gets hung up on gallons or liters. Id rather have lets say 800L with 120x100x70cm then 1120L with 200x80x70 as dimensions

Start scanning kijiji. If you watch it for a while, you can often find folks shutting down their systems and you can get really good deals. Especially a bigger tank like that, no one wants to move that size tank, so if you are willing to put in the work you can really score. I had a friend sell his 2’ aro in a 300g set up for $50 just to get it out of the house. I almost flipped when I found out because it was only 4-5 months before I got back into the hobby. For those dimensions I will need it custom built. How much should I spend on it? I’m in Canada
Do you think a Black belt or argentea would do okay with arrawana, clown knife and vampire tetra ?Im actually quite disturbed about how people gets hung up on gallons or liters. Id rather have lets say 800L with 120x100x70cm then 1120L with 200x80x70 as dimensions

Honestly, that's a weird mix. You can do what you want, but I think you're more likely to have long term success if you pick your centerpiece fish then fill in with appropriate fish from the same continent. If you want an arowana tank, maybe combine it with fresh water rays. Lots of people have success with that combination.Do you think a Black belt or argentea would do okay with arrawana, clown knife and vampire tetra ?
