see what most people cant understand is that different species of plants have different requirements; they are like fish. just cause its green doesnt mean it will have the same needs as the next plant.
MFK is not really a hardcore planted tank site. take a stroll over to plantedtank.net if you wanna see some amazing setups. try telling those guys they can grow their plants and maintain their setups without co2
bottom line, YOUR PLANTED TANK REQUIREMENTS ARE DICTATED BY THE SPECIES OF PLANTS YOU CHOOSE, thats all there is to it really
