1) if there honest and hard working why don't they do the honest, hard act of applying for citizenship?

2) are you saying that keeping them here will get rid of the gang wars and violence? they think that they are safe here and when the people trying to get them come here, they bring the violence and gangs with them.

why dont they apply for citizenship. it would make things easier for them.
and since they are "hard working and honest" they wont end up on welfare.

I live in Arizona and I have to say I agree with everything said here (except for the stealing comment)
The illegal mexican community here hates America and Americans.
AND, the LEGAL mexicans HATE the illegals---they call them F'ing wetbacks.
It's very hard here to be smiley and sociable to strangers because of this attitude. Here, it is NOT an issue of color or race. It is an issue of Arizonans (white, brown, AND black) against the illegals.

In El Paso Texas it the enitire opposite, all the hispnanics are for the immigrants. same with the whites and blacks. the entire city is liberal.
probably the second most liberal city in the state after Austin.
Its sad really. The city got really pissed when some border patrol guy pepper sprayed an illegal. The mexican refused to stop running. so what was the border patroller suppoesed to do?

I think this thread should be closed. It started off as a simple question about thievery and now is some kind of righteous rant.
I think you did the right thing byleaving your number and took back the pond so no harm done. You can't get done for taking something and then returning it to the owner upon request.
