anything is possible. would I say that it's likely in my lifetime? I'd love to say yes but my answer is no. history would suggest it's not possible because of the type of conflicts you brought up (Israel/Palestine, India/Pakistan) but history is only the continuum of changes that have occurred, thus change is inevitable. the entire universe is forever changing. Look at politics, the U.S. sold Saddam chemical weapons during the Reagan administration and then years later used the fact he had possession of them to help build justifiable reasoning to invade Iraq (in addition to the WMD's, 9/11, etc.)

true that things are always changing but one thing will never change and that is war. wars are going to happen until the end of time itself.
its a shame really but when people learn to respect boundaries and borders. maybe wars will be less frequent.

I've always found it humorous that The Beatles said things like that and it seemed like a funny idea to put in for why I edited the post. I'd say I'm sorry if it offended anyone but it doesn't look like I did. I've read a good deal of Marx and I still don't know if I could say that Lennon was outright for communism. The communism they tried to portray him as a supporter of was actually Stalinism which is basically the example of communism people are taught about here in America. I live in Arizona and I have to say I agree with everything said here (except for the stealing comment)
The illegal mexican community here hates America and Americans.
AND, the LEGAL mexicans HATE the illegals---they call them F'ing wetbacks.
It's very hard here to be smiley and sociable to strangers because of this attitude. Here, it is NOT an issue of color or race. It is an issue of Arizonans (white, brown, AND black) against the illegals.

Having mexican heritage and having ancestry that helped BUILD this country is quite different from running across the desert, sneaking into the U.S., Having MULTIPLE children you can't pay for and raping, stealing, becoming alcoholics and beating their wives, running with gangs, etc...

Much respect for your family if they had a hand in helping this country become what it is today.

I also think the political process is skewed and that it's more about Big Business than any rights we may or may not have. That said, the U.S. is still 100x better than the sh*thole countries these illegals are coming from.

Wonder why their countries are so bad that they have to come here... Probably for the same reasons their little shanties and trailers look like god wiped his *ss on them when you drive by. No pride at all.

i'm pretty tired of getting yelled at for generalizing people. 95% of the hispanic community where i live is mexican. whenever i says "that mexican guy" i get a bunch of "he not mexican you you F'ing cracker! he's guatamalan!" or honduran or salvadorian or something.
i apologise for generalizing a similar group of people.

I cured that by saying "hispanic" it covers them all (except the Pacific Rim people--but then again, the Pacific Rim people are terrific.)

but it's just amazing to me how someone could take all these vastly different and unique cultures and teach them all to park their cars on their lawns.

Wonder how long it will be before we, as a country, can do the same without all the liberalistic B.S. in the middle.

I honestly think it's about time our country starts to protect itself with more vigor. The people who want to sympathize with the opposition can go over to their countries and live.

That's what I find so amusing about liberals. They are fighting for the rights of people who have BROKEN THE LAW just walking INTO the country not to mention counting the crimes they commit while their here.

Yet, they gladly lay their careers, names, etc...on the line to defend them. Put THOSE same people in those countries and they would be raped, beaten, have their children kidnapped and held for ransom and even killed.

Just like the guy living in Columbus, Ohio who just got arrested for conspiring with the Iraqis. It's sickening and they should all be shipped out or done away with.

It really is pitiful when you think about it. NO OTHER country let's INVADERS continue to stay and prosper while, at the same time, condemning it's citizens.

So because I sympathize with the honest hard working illegal immigrants who come up here from Mexico, many of whom I work with, I should be shipped to Mexico City in the heartland of gang wars and nearly the most corrupt government there is in the world? By taking that approach to that side of the argument, Republicans and conservatives are trying to imply those who are liberal towards immigration are supporters of gangs like MS-13 who come into America illegally and that's idiotic.
