We don't have a PetSmart here and I bought my Stealth new on ebay. I ended up calling the 800 # to United Pet Group and they mailed out a new Visi-Therm 250w heater to me. I don't use heaters, don't need them in Hawaii but I like to have one on hand in case I need to raise temps.

I found the 'recall' letter on Marineland's site a couple months back, I regret not bookmarking or printing it now. It was hidden really well too, I have tried searching again but no luck.

Does anyone still have their receipt and the SKU number? I took my three heaters to Petsmart today and the female manager wasn't thrilled. She said "Oh, that's recall was a long time ago" thinking I would just say okay and leave. Then she couldn't find the SKU number and said I needed a receipt, like I would keep one from 2 years ago anticipating this recall. She wouldn't give me a refund without the SKU number and was obviously too lazy to find it herself.
