I seen the same show they are replaying it all night

and my heart go's out to his Dad his wife and his best friend les. guy had a heart of gold! and for his father to lose his wife and Steve's mum and now he has to lose his son has got to be drenching on a parent, i have lost both of my parents so i can for sure feel his sorrow.
 
I wonder what kind of ray it was though. He must have done something to it though for it to sting him because its their last defence isn't it.

I am still in shock, it doesn't seem real to me yet. I met him a few times, and he seemed like an awsome guy. He did some amazing work in the eyes of not only people in the field (such as zoodiver and I) but for the general public world wide, and no one could match his enthusiasm. He will be greatly missed!!!!

I agree there is nobody to blame the ray or steve, the ray acted for a reason, weather it being spooked or felt trapped.

From what i have read Terri is thinking of allowing the tape to be released as steve would of wanted it to be. Keep rolling no matter what he always said.
 
i wish a more detailed account of what happened would be released. i mean some reports read like the stingray was buried and he didnt know it was there and others act like he was interacting with it. also i got the impression that the stingray barb actualy pierced his heart which is why it was fatal. i mean could any stingray sting in the chest area cause cardiac arrest? and if it did puncture his heart...how big of a sting ray would it have had of been to do that? have any of you read anything that further explains any of this?
