Stingray Export Ban cancellation

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i wonder how many black diamond will be shipped and how many more spotted leos will be sold as black diamond

i have said it before i will never buy a wild caught ray again so the ban being lifted means nothing to me

if people think they are going to get black rays for the same price they were getting them before the ban think again

anyone wanting a black ray should wait for a year or 2 for the market to settle down a bit or you maybe paying top money for something that could be a lot cheaper in a few years

That is what Im worried about. :(

Who knows, this quota thing could be yearly and no total ban for awhile if ever again.

I dont think we will ever see $300 leos again but I think fish in the $500-1000 range may be more realistic with a couple more years of "quotas" But the catch is, if there is another ban and there is a slight dip in price now, you miss out saving some change now...

I don't think we will see $500 black rays for sale in the US, I doubt even under $1000 after all fees. And nothing is sure about 2010 could be no quota who knows.

I agree T1..

i think with this release will will get a lot of panic buying and the price will stay high for some time

i think we will see a lot of thresds asking whats the market price for black rays

even at $1000 thats still cheap

i think you will be looking at $1200-1500

What about true hystrix? They were like $100 or less before the ban.

I dont want people to take me wrong here. The $500-1000 price I meant was after a few years of quotas, NOT this what may be a one time release.

totally agree with you richard.

anyone who is expecting a black diamond will be in high risk because the brasillian knows nuts about ray and they just catch and ship without stocking them plus Sao felix river is not even in the list for the collectors to collect and i wonder where is the so call black diamond come from then?

As for the quotas, it will be release in 2009 but nobody knows what wil happen to 2010, just got news from ibama that they will reconsider the ban in 2010 which means ity is not confirm.

price for a normal leo should start from USD1600 and up after freight and everything.
