Hi, I've never kept stingrays before and i'm planning to get a motoro stingray for my 2000L indoor pond. It's a 9ft * 9ft, 1ft deep bare bottom enclosure that i believe matches the needs of the rays. I've previously kept small Koi in this pond and i used a 150L sump for filtration. I'm still doing research on rays and i learned that they can produce up to 5 times the waste a typical fish of similar body mass would produce.
I need advice from you guys to set up my filter to handle that kind of a bio waste. What should i look out for ? can you please give me a few tips to improve my filtration. If you could leave few pics of your stingray filtration, it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance :)

This female is prob 23-35cm wd. The tank is 2' high. Imagine then an 2' ray climbing like this. It will end up on the floor and its not fun trying to net a ray squiggling around.

Thanks a lot for the information. I'll fix glass panels from the inside of the walls and lift them to increase the height of the water column. It's a nice setup you've got there :) can you please tell me a bit about the filtration you use ?

On that tank wich is a growout i use and 130L showerfilter filled with biomedia, an 120L movingbed sump filled with prob about 35L of hel-x and k1 and one eheim 2262.

If you increase the height of that pond have in mind to brace the glass and use thick glass. And do remeber that most rays grow to 2' over the disk and comes up with speed against the glass. You dint wanna chase an ray on the floor swinging its tail at you.
