Great thread, I very much appreciate this. I had a new basement put under my house so Iam still in the planning stages. I have wanted rays for many years, just affraid they were harder to take care of than Discus. There is a lot of reaserch to do and that has been done on my end. I am also a fisherman so my main source will be from wild caught fish that will be frozen. when i had 14 adult pirahna I fed northern pike. It was never a problem to stock my freezer, On average I would go into the winter with 15-20 bread bags worth of meat. Ths time I will vacume seal to keep the meat of higher quality, during the summer months I should be able to treat them with night crawlers from my yard. WE use smelt for fishing and also a fish called a sisco or tuliby which can be caught in large numbers at the right time of the year. Another possabillity would be to get pan fish from a local hatchery and after quarinteen use those as live feeders. If i use my lvoe for fishing as not only a hobbie but source of food for my aquarium hobby I believe I can house rays for very little money. What I would like is to keep 3-4 motoros. I have had many Discus over the years, and will be interested in breeding these rays in time. I dont want just any Rays but a higher quality than average. Sorry for the rambling, I am very excited to join this aspect of fish keeping
