Congratulations and welcome to ray keeping
Wont take long and you will probably have more rays hahha
She is stunning, as has been said, Motoro but a hybrid .. looks to me like could have some black ray genes in it

Good advice has been given
As for her eating your peacock bass.... well ... she might not for starters but chances are it wont take long and she will
As Deadliestviper7 Deadliestviper7 said.. they masters at being sneaky
Tinfoil barbs are faster than pb so... this is my P14 technique..... it swims up the glass and waits for the barbs to swim past behind and as they do, she throws herself backwards, swipes with her disc and slams it against the glass... they are true masters of stalking

I don't know about other people but w also found that long term, adult peacock bass (45cm) /rays/arowana, was not a good combo, at least for us
Pb are extremely active and keep bullying each other (no serious injuries, just constantly chasing and sort of biting each other) and all this commotion caused by 6 adult bass made the rays and Aro very unhappy
Also watch your snakehead.... I would not put a ray with it...

Thank you very much MariaS MariaS for you info, really appreciate it

My snakehead is generally just a gentle giant but i was see how he acts towards the ray..

I would rather not put the ray with my smaller bass then, Do not need them to become a snack.

Hi guys I added the new ray to my tank today and I’m inlove with it...I noticed the breathing is fine but she was swimming up and down the glass is that normal? And also noticed it looked like her skin was peeling is that normal?

All the peeling is gone...She’s swimming around now and loves going up and down the glass

Congratulations Miks786 Miks786

Glad the peeling is gone and she is doing well
They love swimming up and down and behaving like clowns sometimes, you just have to fall in love with them
Im sure you will soon have a friend for her!!

All the best
