I do not understand what you are trying to say, I think you are backing up my statement i.e. PFK should not have bad mouthed your friend for simply making a mistake - if they did then they are wrong, they should not have bad mouthed him BUT if he intentionally did it then he deserves it - i.e. if we know the facts then we can comment. if PFK are so hot on the law then they should have known all about this guy getting busted before putting a article in the mag

This is my point exactly - simple error and someone gets called a criminal or a fraud. PFK should not have slated your friend and until we see otherwise it would be wise for us not call to this collector a fraud or crim as it could be something just as simple.

Obviously PFK are not hot on the law and they simply passed on 3rd party info to make a headline.

Press always do this - so often I read a headline on the front page saying "Interest Rates set to soar" and then when you read the article is says - someone who has never been right before said that if this, that and the other took place then interest rates might go up - BUT people just quote the headline!

David has posted very strong comments about the collector but so far has not really given any strong facts or evidence.

Normally I do not waste my time for such ignorance, but as I was kindly asked - and I must thank all of those who here have helped to talk sense and facts, thank you again - so I will make just a few comments of what and where this Mr. has NOT LOOKED OR READ before he talks wrong things:

and if this Mr. David is able to read, and takes the time for it (before he talks again), than he can read the 3 accusations made by the PF are based ONLY on GENETIC MATERIAL and we had NO GENETIC MATERIAL, just some preserved fishes in Formaldehyde (if he knows what this is, if not ask your vet, he will tell you), for identification of that species and to understand to help better this world's aquatic biodiversity (what my family has done for 3 generations - what has Mr. David done for it?).
So the accusations are wrong and false. And possibly that is why the judge has not UNTIL TODAY asked to hear us (we were never heard since two years ago - since August 2008 - and we were 3 times in Brazil since). We have never been asked to come to the court, as there is NO CASE against us, except for the PF accusation, for which the judge has to decide if he wants to make a trial out of it or not. We believe it will be archived, as there is no case. (Except for a Mr. David, or some other jealous people, or those who do not want to do their correct research and read before they open their mouth and spit out trash and invent lies, as here done).

And PFK is - BY FAR - the very best aquarium fish magazine now in the world, and not only because I write for them in each issue 4 articles - monthly - and respond for questions, but also because the new editor, Matt Clark, has changed it completely and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OLD PFK ANYMORE (and this is where i agree to what is written here, the old PFK was bad but not anymore since Matt is the editor, only the best people in the entire world write for it, not as TFH or any other aquarium magazine today).
The information you get from today's PFK NO ONE WILL GET IN THE WORLD-WIDE WEB, that is for sure (but there are still some guys that belive everything and only what is written in the web).
AND because you (Mr. David who knows, as it seems, all), do NOT NEED TO READ PFK, you cannot know that PFK brought a two-issue article (mentioned the issues above) about what happened in Manuaus and they knows VERY WELL AND MUCH BETTER AND CORRECTLY WHAT HAPPENED, as they published it.
So much for your ignorance and waste of time to write to editors instead of reading what is available for very little money.
And again, PFK has at least 3, mostly 4 and more of my articles for years, every month and not just now. You only have to look at PFK, since 2006 and you will see...

And at the end, for those here who wrote "No Academic", I have studied all I wanted to study in Universities around the world (and I give lectures all the time at Universities, you can see on my website where and when), but never wanted a PHD, especially when I saw how some get it... And I could have gotten a lot, very easy, but as I never wanted to work for anyone, I definitely do not need it. I do never need it, to write "Dr." or whatever, as I am (and knowing what I know), I am respected within the entire scientific community around the globe what fishes is concerned, I am asked and questioned and I publish quarterly surely the best peer reviewed Ichthyoilogical Journal around the world (since 1994), aqua, International Journal of Ichthyology:

in your post you tell us not to take notice of things we read on the net then you post loads of links this makes no sence to me

PFK maybe the best mag around i have not said its not its just the best of a bad load of mags

the internet has killed of most mags mainly because people want help fast and cant wait 1 month for the new mag to come out after sending in a ?

not much point in me buying a mag just to look at pictures

And my calender today shows July 15, 2010 (but maybe my calender is wrong and that in my computor as well and all my watches are wrong...who knows). Anyhow, according to this it is from today almost two years ago that thios happened and no notice from any judge or court...

2. I gave the links where you can, of you would read, see also the dates, but as you do not read, taht is clear to me, anyhow it was August 29, 2008, Manaus, Brazil.

3. And again, it is very clear to me, that you do not read, as PFK has texts, texts, texts, more than pictures and information as no one is giving anywhere else. The best people write texts and texts: ie. Helen Larson (world scientific expert of gobies); Ad Konings, best man for Malawi & Tanganyika; Ralf Britz, world expert on Indochina fishes and curator of the British Museum; J. Armbruster, world expert on sucker catfishes (Loricariidae); Juan Miguel best man of Mexico fishes in the world; Rudie Kuiter, world expert and best known for Australasia fishes; Will Crampton, world expert on gymnotiform fishes; Heok Hee Ng - no one knows Southeast Asian fishes as this prime ichthyologist and taxonomist; and many more, all people which do not write on the Internet and do not write for outhers, only publish scientific papers. And me giving each month Definite Guide so people can understnd better their fishes, which I would never publish on the web (besides not getting paid for my living, as this is my work, all my life - for 3 generations - it would get lost an hardly anyone look at it and I do not put years of work into precise information, which stays forever, into the web to get lost...)

4. The facts you find out if you - maybe one day - start to read. But I asume that woiuld be to much work, better to write nonesense and bother others with your lasyness.

5. And last but nort least: maybe the Internet has killed a few magazines, but those would have anyhow had disppeared sooner or later. All the good ones have become better, same with books.

i do read but as you say my math is bad but so is your english and i find it hard to see how you write for a english mag without them changing 90% of your words
