i do read but as you say my math is bad but so is your english and i find it hard to see how you write for a english mag without them changing 90% of your words

it doesnt matter what year it was you say you were sent to jail is this true or not a simple yes or no would clear this up

He already stated he was imprisoned/held for a few days in all these articles. Also, attacking someone about there english skills should involve a little punctuation in my opinion. Just my 2 cents.

magazines have editors to help with the translation so his english is better. he dosent have to have great english to to know what he is talking about. maybe you shouldve read like he told you to do and your questions wouldve been answered already. he gave you links and told you where to look. and if it didnt matter what year it was then why did you make such a big deal out of it anyway. also you couldve just reread what you highlighted he said MY IMPRISONMENT.

Well I'm a regular reader of PFK-have been for the past 25 years. I'm not going to get involved with this current debate on imprisonment dates, quality of English, quality of PFK etc. But I will comment on the article as I've read it all.

It has some wonderful photos to help with ID, many of which I've never seen before (no doubt Mr. Bleher's own copies-I think this makes them all the more special). The taxonomy section is very interesting, as is the notes on their natural behaviour and habitat.

However when one weighs up the actual content of the article, it does fall very short on actually how to set up a tank for them, their diet (in fact theres no mention regarding this), common problems, general care etc. If the reader bought the magazine specifically for this they would I feel be disappointed. But this is why I feel Forums such as MFK are there; the hobbyist can get a taster from the article and then research deeper themselves (trawling these forums for info is one of the many enjoyable aspects of the hobby I feel).

For many Stingray keepers on this site, such as T1 (as vocal as he his he is a very experienced and knowledgeable aquarist), the article would not blow them away but I learnt many new facts from reading it and this alone made it worth the money.

I will be getting next month's issue and look forward to learning about the Asian FW Rays as these are becoming more coomon here in the UK.

PFK, as with many aquarist mags, will never please everyone because it has to try and cater for all levels and its just plain impossible to do so. I hope my reply gets this thread back to its original purpose

people have been passing bad comments about my bad spelling and grammar for years so its about time i done the same when someones spelling is worse than mine lets face it i don't write for a mag

so he was put in jail and didn't return for his court date so their was some truth in what Mr David said

you think someone who has been a member for 5 years with a post count of 5k post is a lot well its not look at bogwoodbruce post count

my debate was never with anyone who has been to jail it was with the mag who seam to have double standards when it comes to the law

i gave up buying that mag years ago they run the same articles over and over again i you buy it for one year no need to buy it anymore as its the same things over and over again with just a few words change

that said its the only good fish mag in the UK but it doesn't take long of buying it that you think oh no not stingrays again

if you look at back issues you will see that this mag run a stingray article no less that 10 months ago

its hard for any mag to keep it interesting it doesn't take long before you think not again not again

this is what makes forums more interesting

1. they are free
2. you can get answers to you ?s in mins
3. a lot of the things in any mags are not always 100% right

I sent PFK a email to see if they would like to comment on this but no reply yet

if what you are saying its ok if you make a mistake with paper work to brake the law can you please tell me why it was ok for PFK to bad mouth one of my pals after he got some paperwork wrong and got busted when importing Asian arowana

my pal forgot to apply for a article 10 before selling arowana and PFK posted a article about him getting busted before they had the facts

if PFK are so hot on the law then they should have known all about this guy getting busted before putting a article in the mag

it doesn't matter if he was guilty or not in PFKs eyes

all my posts in this thread which were directed at PFK until i had my name dragged in by the man himself then i just defended my self like he did

but he put my name next to Mr Davids like it was me attacking him

i think the mag is rubbish and nothing will change that

I write English for sure better than you (and would be asked eveery week friom 28 different magazines to write for them in Englis, just for your ignorance), but this is another story. Only: i do not get paid here, just answer very fast silly and ignorant peoples words.

well if you think your English is great then thats up to you but from what i can see from what you write a lot must be lost in translation

my spelling is bad we all know that but i don't try to fool myself into thinking what i type makes sens

i am scared to run a spell check on your posts i reply to as it will take me ages to correct your mistake i have no idea how long it must take the editor to fix your article's but they may as well have don't the article's them selfs

you were arrested and in PFKs eyes you are guilty like what they published about my Friend

if you did have a chance to reply to the charges in PFK thats more than they gave my Friend a chance to do even after i sent them a email stating the facts of his case

i have had enough of this now your post are hard work to read

like you say the Internet has lots of rubbish on it so i contacted PFK to see if i could get the facts they didn't defend you in any way or even reply
