i kinda want colorful tank mates the have a big mouth so it could eat left overs... what about red bay snooks are those to mean or what?

buy one to start of with and see how it goes and if all goes well buy one more a few months later. im planning to get a top swimmer for my ray tank to replace my arowana. . . thinking of pink tai chalceus characins . they grow to 8-10 '' and are nice.

baysnooks would go with rays. they only ambush fish that they know they can swallow and not like nasty sa cichlids that bully fish to death. peacocks/ baysnooks are ok. . . one problem! both grow huge!

dont see any problems with butterfly fish with rays. maybe you answeredyour own answer. 1 teacup and 1 butterfly

i guess but that would be a lil plain like 1 top swimming fish and 1 bottomfeedng fish so are plecos out of the question cause i heard that they can injure rays pretty bad...

i noticed that, just you are mostly getting advice from vincentii.

please do more research before buying a ray.

most rays will outgrow 18" around. even teacups rays. FYI teacup rays, are usually just baby rays that hasn't been properly identify.

i believe all rays are incredibly sensitive, and need constant daily water changes.

also, bass can grow over 24''.

IMO rays and bass are a bad choice for a 120gallon

ive got a 4'' plec in with my 12-14'' motoros. theyve been together in there for 2 years. no problemsat all. the plec justs roosts on the bogwood and eats when its feeding time.but, ive read in here that some do attack rays and vice versa.your risk.

maybe im lucky and found rays to be easy to keep. but, yes. water quality is paramount when it comes to keeping rays.i did tell him that. lol

ok so i want to try it even if it might not be a real teacup cause i really want to try rays i might up grade so im not getting a bass... and ill get alot of reasearch in cause im not gonna get one for a while im just tryin to get some ideas...
