Do you think a pike cichlid would fit into this set up?

Pike cichlids get huge, will outgrow that tank. Not as big as other cichlids, but still pretty big

^ ok, thanks for the quick info I'll scratch that off the possibilities list.

Yeah pikes wouldn't have fitted in either. Can I have the list of what you plan to stock it with now? Some silver dollars would be big and nice dither fish to add a bit of attention to the middle =]]

1-Zig Zag eel
1-peacock eel
2-rope fish
1-polypterus senegalus
maybe 1-leopard ctenpoma
60-ghost shrimp before I put anything else in the tank

oh an 1 or 2 African brown knives

Right just get one eel (zig zag) as 2 will fight and then get 4 leopard cnetpoma as they are a middle dweller and you need some middle dwellers as you tank would be quite boring without them, or some leaf fish or marbled ctenpoma. Also only get one knife it is a safer idea.

sounds good, but avec 3 more ctenopoma and sans one of the eels.
Spiny Eels MAY fight, I wouldn't take the risk

I would do geophagus and bichirs, but I didnt read the whole thread and just saw you have a good idea of what you want already.

Hmm if you read the whole thread you'll see he wants specific fish, and I think he has made his mind up now,Sorry for sounding rude :grinyes:

Just a quick question here, I thought that you can only keep one leopard cnetpoma per tank. I thought that they figh each other when they got bigger. Is this wrong? Can you really have 4 in a tank?
