Stocking a 55g oddball(ish) tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know the fish I would like to have but I am also always open to suggestions and if you really don't think it would work out then please tell me.

:headbang2I've got my fish!!!!!FINALLY!:headbang2

Right now I have:1x p. senegalus
1x red finned black shark
1x leopard ctenopoma
1xAfrican black/brown knife
1xpeacock eel
Not really planning on anything else, except for maybe, possibly, a good cleanup fish (I think I kind of need one)

I've been feeding dead blood worms, and I hope to start alternating with carnivore pellets soon once I get everyone eating the worms.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR HELPING ME MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS AND MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!!

you could prob. have another ctenopoma in there.

Well I was thinking I was probably gonna just keep those fish except for maybe getting a raphael catfish to make sure no food gets missed.

Scratch off both of the ropefish from your tank. I don't care how flexible they are, a 3 foot fish is a 3 foot fish. I say, go with a hujeta gar, a leaf fish, a senegal bichir, and a peacock eel. You will never see your Raphael catfish.

Yeah, forgot to say, not getting the ropefish, are there any catfish or loaches that would fit in with the knife, senegalus, red finned shark, and peacock eel to make sure all the food gets cleaned up?

Yeah :D

talking cats
Hoplosternum

some wild/large cories could work too :D

I personally would go for a hoplosternum..I have one :D They're brilliant fish :D

Well, I'd prefer not do do corries. I'm looking for 1-2(probably 1) catfish that I would see and are active that would fit in here and not get eaten later on.

I've never seen one of those in my lfs, would a synodontis work also?
