Nice Oscars but at the same time they look extremely crammed. I know you were young but you had to know how big they got. Why not get something else that could live in your tank for life. When I was a high-schooler I atleast informed myself about the size of the fish I was getting-or wait-no that was when I was in middle school. LOL!

I guess I'm just not as smart as you were as a kid. Most books I recall seeing back then said 12" max size and the smallest one was over 13" when it died, the largest was pushing 15".
 
BTW-I was pretty dumb took a lot of remedial courses. Anyways, we have all made bonehead mistakes just as long as we learn from them is important.
