Stocking suggestions

I use red blue columbian tetra. They are SA. I added. 3 tiny Cory's and lost 1 so that could be touchy. On them. My female is only nasty with eggs or babies around. But the syno makes quick work of all spawns

Wow go me, I just misread your post on the tetra thing. Oops

My female has been the biggest fish (in the tank) since I got them, the male is only just now starting to overtake her in size. I think that might be part of why she is always bullying everything in the tank.

I haven't had a successful spawn from this pair the female eats the eggs everytime. I'm kind of holding on to her in the hopes when the male gets bigger I get a batch of fry. *shakes fist* If she wasn't my favourite fish, I'd have probably moved her on.

If you could find adults mesonauta species could probably hold their own or maybe a severum. I've had a rough time with similar sized cichlids getting shredded by the pair as a team. I'm hoping a larger more robust tankmate will do the trick.

I'm still considering adding a single severum rather then angelfish, partly because it is really easy to find larger specimens.

My female was bigger for a whole week or so once the male overtook her there were no further issues
