Good to hear, he sounds much more comfortable already. Hopefully yours isn't camera shy like mine. If I have my phone or camera out anywhere within about 2 feet of his tank and try to take a picture, he starts to show his vertical bars (which I don't like) and backs up like I'm trying to kill him. Put it away or step away and he swims right up and gets excited like I'm his best friend and acts like he hasn't eaten in weeks. I'm able to trick him every once in a while and get a good pic but doesn't happen often... curious to see pics of yours with the new driftwood and him all settled in.

Today i Added the new driftwood, rescaped the tank, all was well until I put the light back to its proper place, within a couple minutes he went banck to "pouting", so put the light back across the h.o.b.s , less than a minute later he was back up and active again.took a couple pics with the lighting in place, water is cloudy from stirring up substrate, hopefully get better pics tomorrowuploadfromtaptalk1393275326966.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393275342907.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393275360613.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393275401749.jpg

I've been thinking back, is it possible he swallowed a piece of gravel and cannot pass it? The day before he started acting like this he was trying to get a crayfish that was in the tank left from when I had my tsn, I remember him getting nothing but a mouthful of graveland shaking it out.possibly bowel obstruction?

I have that problem too with cichlids, think i'll just lay the phone against the outside glass for a bit so they can habituate to it and not mind the pictures.

Legitimate Health issue post hijacked for photography lessons? Really

It was a minor point made, not an intended hijack, on topic I'd say the jag behaviour is due to things being moved around, he'll hopefully settle

I apologize my comment was out of line, I'm just getting worried and frustrated, just really love this fish and want to enjoy him, and haven't been able to have the light on my tank more than a few minutes a day for the past week now.he came from a fairly heavily stocked tank, boredom a possibility, I've just never had a fish that took this long to adjust
