The TRUST;1602438; said:Agreed! I mean if a cat passes through my yard I really have no problem with it, but if it chooses to hang around, mess up the yard and do it's busines in my yard then I definitely have a problem. But that's only the problems I see. I always hear people with cats saying "My cat brought me a bird today that it killed outside" That right there is wrong. Put bells on your cats so it gives the native birds and squirels a chance to get away. Declawing cats is a good thing too!
My brother bought a cat that began as an inside cat but upon moving new a new home with a large lot, he began letting the cat outside where it then decided to make up for 2 years worth of lost hunting. The cat was declawed, collared w/bells, etc...no more problems.
If his neighborhood had a problem with strays, would any of you support the idea of this cat being rounded up with the rest and sent to a shelter?
This "solution" they've imposed is very unfair.
