alright, I'm calling her to dump that stupid cat back in the woods.

Dude won't cost near 1k right off.. goto the vet to get it's first shots, def. get it de-wormed(call and get prices from your local vet they can tell you what first shots are and cost) and probably 10.00 a week in litter/food. And then after first shots neutering but you have to wait at least a few weeks or months to do that.

If you're not a hypercondriac and your cat stays indoors than you'll be able to skimp on somethings like it probably won't need flea medication all the time(assuming without a dog and no source for the fleas to come in you won't get any)/etc and only take it to vet when something is apparently wrong rather than every 6 months.

At least drop it off at the spca..

and yes absolutley pls get it at least a vet visit and shots.........it might turn out to be the most loving appreciative cat ever.........as my 2 cats growing up were strays that my family took in and cared for....10 yrs later they are still kicking and still in the family!!!!! give it a chance:)

I'll wait until the cat gets here on Monday and see how it is.

How much should the shots and neutering cost? If I decide to keep it I'll make sure it'll be well taken cared of.

Thanks for all the tips.

shop(call) around for prices.

agree.. veternarian just like anything is a business so prices might vary.

the receptionist should tell you normally the shots a kitten should get and the prices for them.

I was just up in north carolina, and we stayed at a cabin that had about 4-5 baby cats and 4 adults. I ended up sitting there for 2 hours trying to get them to come out and trust me. I ended up playing with the kittens for about 3 hours after that. Just make sure u take it to the vet to get its shots and what not. My gf toulk one of them with us back to florida, its a calecos ( spelling ) with a gray broken M on its forhead ( so a tabby )
