What info do you want?

Sturgeons are whales........Unless you have a swimming pool, you will not be able to grow one out too full size in a healthy.......BTW, if you want one my store sells some type of juvenile(3-5 inch) STURGEON for $19.99............

I thought white sturgeon can be wild caught in California?
and you can keep a young sturgeon (3-5 in) in a 1000 gallon for a few years because they grow very slow compare to other big fish!

Correct.........It is the "TANKBUSTING" potential I am not wanting to experience first hand..........Poeple talk about RTC's and PBASS tank busting, but a sturgeon is something else, way else..........And too, it is white sturgeon that my local store sells at $19.99.............I beleive a pool with a side window is the only thing that will ever come close to being adequetly satisfiable for a 10+foot fish to live in...........

ideally, need cold water. but, some people have success in warmer temps IF you have lots of aeration/agitation

sterlet are probably the most ideal species to start off with

I have always wanted a sturgeon.. so I bought 20 at 3"... cold waters, current, aeration, correct feeding schedule and food..

I grew 4 of them to about 8".. then 1 by 1 all 20 of them would just die. They would be fine, and then 4 hours later be dead with no sign of why they died. They were all disbursed through out several 75 gallons with no other fish with them.

whats there growth rate like? has anyone on here raised them from babies to the monster they become successfully? there was someone on here who had a sturgeon but forgot who... i heard they grow slow like really slow...

They were doing great and growing pretty fast.. The first supply of them lasted longer that the second supply.

i'm convinced it was the supplier and not me.. I did intense research on them because I LOVE them. I was hoping to add them to the koi pond.
