Sump and Plumbing for my 535. Need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very excited for you! Really curious to see how you do the plumbing. Did you go with loclines or something else for your returns?

I am in a bit of a holding pattern for now. I have to wait for some financial investments to clear before I can actually order my stuff. Very frustrating as I am roaring to go but it could take 1 more month or it could be another 4 months :(
Thank you. You’ve been a huge help and You’ve clearly done the research. I am doing loc line for the ultima returns.

I’ll be asking questions once the plumbing arrives. K hope I can find time for the project.

Thanks Richard. I think I’m good on wood. May pick up a few more pieces but I have more than enough from the six tanks I was running. I brought all of it with me. :)

I do plan on stacking the way I did prior. Just have to reinforce them a big more.

Not sure how far you are from DE but just fish in bear has a nice selection of DW.

Maybe a little late with this but just just incase you need to order more supplies check out www.flexpvc.com they have allot of uncommon supplies.

Did you figure out your heating situation? Allot are using the inkbird seems they are unreliable and cheap. I have no issues with my ranco but for the $$$ id go with inkbird

Did you mean to say “unrealiable?”

My InkBirds have been quite reliable. I did have to replace two of the probes but once I did I put silicon grease on all of the seams on the probes and haven’t had a problem since. For a large tank, they can handle 1000W of heating and have programmable high and low alarms. All of that at $30-35 on Amazon.

Thank you J jaws7777 I moved from PA to CA in november. I used to go to Just Fish in Bear at fox Point every so often.

Thanks for the tips on the heating. I have four heaters totaling 1000 watts I’ll add into the tank. I’ll definitely get a heater controller.

Will definitely be looking into both soon. Thank you!

All good. I miss the east coast. I used to love eating Peruvian chicken at Peruchos off of capitol trail in Newark

I second that. Great value, and was a breeze to set up. I use the money saved on crappy heaters, to spend on a controller. As I understand, the heating element is the cheap part, just a wire that draws 300w. It's the temp gauge that costs money, and most often fails. A temp controller eliminates the need for a fancy heater
