sump for eight 100Gals and six 55Gals

I think if you are going to breed and raise fish, your best bet would be to go with sponges and a blower. Makes everything independent and no chance to spread and infect all the tanks. You can still use a sump and central system to do water changes, just have the old water run to a drain outside, and run new water into them all at the same time. Use this only for maintenance and not filtration, use the sponges as you main BB filter. A blower and air is a lot cheaper than a 1/2 hp or larger main system pump.

so you mean just run like the sponge/blower pump in each tank?
im sorry i dont really understand how would i still use the sump/central system?

also im so scared to buy these rubbermade storage bins to make my sump out of........want the stronggest thing possible lol

i just read the diy over flows! this looks like what i need to do on my tanks.
are these better space and performance wise over the drilling?
still trying to find somthing to fit in here as far as a sump.
needs to be less then 15" tall and a lil less than 4 feet wide

diy overflows, i need a return pump for these? and how does this filter the water if it only draws in at the water line.
what if it goes under the water line?
