Sunfish tank

I think the bowfin will get a little big for what I'm looking to do. Really tempting though.

Probably buying for the most part. I have a spare 75 and was going to go fishing to see what I get. I doubt I connect those quantities.

Bowfin will grow to large especially if it's a female, it'd have to be a species only tank. And from reading your comments that's not what you're looking for. Also bowfin love to eat sunfish. So cross it off the list.

You might consider some smaller type of dither fish. I currently have some golden shiners and I really enjoy them a lot more then I thought I would. They are large enough the sunfish wouldn't be able to eat them.

That was another thing I was looking at. I'm not even sure a bullhead is a good idea with the dollar or orange spot suns

They aren't as bold as bluegill, but seem to grow faster
