Amazing dovii

Thank you :)

I have some valuable cichlids which i cant say goodbye, such as trimac, gold morph jag, mota, loisellei, festae blackbelt and a synspillum. will be hard for me to give all those and keep dovii. anyway love to see some more of your dovii's video updates.

I'd recommend another tank just for the dovii...personally I wouldn't give up everything you have. Doviis have definitely become my favorite fish...but I could live without them if I had too lol.

thanks for the advice. i will be happy to arrange a new tank for him, not to loose other guys.

dont for get to upload more videos.

Is he really being vicious... he almost looks like he is playing and enjoys it .. got a ping pong ball you can toss him :nilly:

Hi.

That's a sick Dovii deffo a mean b*st*rd, hahahaha, I think a fish like yours is the dream of many fishkeepers who like predatory species the most. I have at this moment 4 jags, one couple who have spawned and two males in separated setups of course, I hope my jags become half the exiting your fish is.

Just a comment: Why do you feed such a monster fish with such tiny pellets?, I think feeding that monster who is know as to be the most aggy cichild of them all with just tiny pellets equals to feed a tiger with dry cat food.

Im not saying you should practice life feeding him, I woudnt dare myself to throw some other fish or even mice to that monster and much less having children at home who could witness a possible carnage (maybe it is what your fish is asking for tho), however you could feed him frozen foods, I mean, something bigger and more exiting than just some tiny pellets.

My two cents.

The pellets are all he's ever eaten. I've tried other food but he is so picky...its unreal. If I don't drop food directly on his head, he won't even look at it. The food will drop right beside his head and he doesn't touch it or won't even pick it off the bottom of the tank. Such a Diva...but I did get him to eat a piece of Shrimp once but I don't want that stuff rotting on the bottom of the tank if he doesn't hit it.

my jag does the same thing. easy solution. open all the tops. make him think ur gonna drop it on the left side then when he runs that way drop it on the other side then he will swim and get it without splashing. he splashing cuz he is anticipating wer ur gonna put it then he explodes launching water at u. trust me try my method

He doesn't pursue the food...we won't even look at it if I drop it at the other end of the tank. He's been like this from day one.
