I have had splashing problems with my barbs. I just lift the glasstop lid, pull it forward an inch or so, set it on the top of the trim, and drop the pellets into the filter stream. You never know, he might get used to feeding that way.

ja my guys spawned in a community tank i was raising them in the weekend
was a massacre lost 2 dovii and 3 flowerhorn i was using as dithers
every fish except the pair is showing scares and they are only 5 inches

Thats the other thing people forget about dovii...there sheer speed is incredible...not just huge and aggressive, super fast on top of that. I added a couple super fast siller dollars to his tank once because I didn't think he'd have a chance catching them...in an hour he killed both, unreal speed.
