Have you tried holding a handful of pellets in one hand, then quickly opening and shutting the top with the other when you put the pellets in? I've done this a few times and it minimizes the splashing for me. Just a suggestion though.

From day one, he'll only eat pellets if I drop them on his head...if he picked food off the bottom, I'd just throw them on the opposite side of the tank.

Yea, that doesn't work either....Im having a similar issue with one of my pbass so I try to feed on the opposite end and he just rushes over as soon as the pellets hit the water and splashes twice as much as normal.

Ive always wanted one. Hes a brute. My jag is the same way. Just not as big. I modified my lid so there is just a small place to drop in his food. Cause if ur like me i hate cleaning the water off the floor.

sick vid man, ye soon as i bred mine he got twice as aggresive too, doesnt splash me like yours tho i'm hope he doesnt, seems like you gotta replace multiple buckets of water on a daily basis
