super green texas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey Lach

I think i have seen the very same fish at a LFS in brisbane. The colours are incredible in comparison to normal Texas but i think that they may be a hybrid of sorts. Hopefully someone will give you a more definitive answer but snap some pics and that will help in a big way.

going to see them tomorrow and try and get some better information all though im not too trusting of the general staff there because someone got dovii confused with jags and then tried to sell me acaras as gts
fail..........

went back to check them out
the stupidity of people i tell u
anyway best answer i got was they are normal texas bred selectively to be more green in colour
the male parent of these young was completely green
sounds insane
any way i got my cuban im happy

I got a pink texas..... yeah... without a pic my claim is as valid as this!
Sorry if I sound rude.... but seriously, some threads as exciting as these deserve some pics. Crappy phone pics will do to.

Now we are talking! It looks sort of green no doubt..... but could be the lighting also. Or is it just a juvi escondido?

well the people are useless
but they said its selectively bred
or from some other part of the river
some bull****
but apparently look amazing
im thinking some hybrid that has managed to turn completely green

Actually I remember one thread where someone put up a very cool link. It had pics and descriptions of carpinte collected in different places. Very subtle yet noticeable variety in strain and colour.
I'll try to look for it.....

Hard to tell from the pic, but Escos are generally like Carpintis but with larger and more vibrant green spots. No selective breeding, just a natural varient. I can see why someone would sell them as super Texas. Lach, you should just do a search for Escondito and learn up on them.
