Sorry to thread hijack but the 2 "Escondido" have spawned earlier tonight look like a few hundred eggs as well as 30 infertile ones. I have a spare breeding tank setup already with bubbler and small pump just in case they are bad parents. Cheers Shane

It's just a market name. Super red texas, super red dragons super whatever, is all market names to make them sound crazy and super to sell. Some use the word super for their fish to express that their fish is from some kind of super breed.. But all that is made up.

yeah this is true but as a marketing gimmick also
they are claimed to be line bred for there larger than normal pearls.

there was a random male carp and 2 pairs of the super greens one around 4-5 inch the other 2inc (these were offspring of the larger ones)

Also i live about 15min from petcity

The ones I got are from PetCity not Rocklea. See page 3 of this thread.

And I have about 250 fry starting to swim tonight.

History of the fish and final thread hijack
- From PetCity The male was seperated from the 2 remaining females as the larger female tore him up a bit. But that aggression towards him appears to have subsided a fair bit. The fish were bred by the aquarium manager cant remember his name. Dean from PetCity can hook you up with some babies in a few months

And yes they are good looking fish.
